Course Overview
Based on Project Management Institute (PMI®) methodology, this course examines the foundation of project management & teaches industry best practices and techniques for managing projects from initiation to close-out. This course introduces the core competencies high-performance teams need to achieve their project goals. Students are presented with a comprehensive examination of how a properly managed project allows a diverse team to address competing expectations and work efficiently to deliver on time and budget.
Participants are taught project management concepts, terminology, and methods based on the PMI’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) Guide. Our hands-on training is extremely practical and gives participants the conceptual & tactical tools, templates, and checklists they need to collaborate with their team and manage projects successfully.
This two-day course can be taught in person or virtually. Eleven PDUs are available for this two-day course.

This entry-level course is perfect for those with little to no formal training in project management who want to effectively put PM principles to work at their own organizations.

Course Simulation
We provide a hands-on project simulation exercise by forming workgroups and giving them the responsibility of planning & executing a project. Groups are challenged to build a product according to the scope of sponsor specifications and implement the disciplines learned in the course to deliver it within time and on budget. We add twists, turns, and other real-world problems for the teams to work through adding to the fun of this creative simulation that effectively reinforces concepts, tools, and techniques taught in the course.
