Business Situation
Heritage Health, a nonprofit healthcare provider, looked to provide better, more efficient care to their patients and community. To do more with less, they looked to optimize their work management practices. They knew of the Power Platform and aspired to leverage the work management features, but they were unsure of how to customize the Project Accelerator Power App. The situation was ripe for improvement as their PMO had a high level of effort to compose reports due to the disjointed nature of their project schedules and financial statements.

Optimizing Microsoft Project for the Web was a big focus. After a thorough consultation and assessing their project intake/review process, our Development Team provided a Project Accelerator customization that fits their business needs. We tailored forms, created project workflows, and added custom fields. All their forms were consolidated into Power Accelerator. We defined their project intake and review process, including automations.
Handing them the keys to knowledge, we provided Power Platform courses in which the Heritage team learned how to use and maintain solutions in Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate.

With training, they’re able to understand how to maintain a Power Platform solution on their own. Unique Project Accelerator customizations gave them the ability to use the app in a way that best suits their needs. Composing reports is now easy, as they can view all project efforts in one place—their Power BI enterprise dashboard.
The Company Today
The Heritage Health team maintains its own Power Platform solutions and even customizes them to bring new solutions and benefits to the company. Project Accelerator helps them every day to manage project requests and has taken the guesswork out of deciding which projects to prioritize. Their PMO works more smoothly than ever before!
